Name and Place

Joseph Lively moved to the Illinois territory in 1805 and settled at the Irish Settlement at the Seymour farm in section twenty eight, of township six, range seven, three miles northeast of Kaskaskia. In 1823 he removed to the lower end of the Opossumden prairie. He died in 1823.
