Covered Wagon

Name and Place

George Heacock moved to the Illinois territory in 1818 north of Baldwin, in section 2, in the prairie which bears his name. He and Stephens, who came about the same time, lived in separate cabins in the same yard. They had a dairy and were also cattle dealers.
